M Kathryn Massey is acknowledged for her classical still life paintings influenced by the Dutch and Flemish Masters. fine artist, teacher, and writer, Massey works in both oil and pastel creating works through chiaroscuro (light and dark), warm color harmonies and professional craftsmanship. She is a Signature Member of Oil Painters of America and Audubon Artists and an Artist Member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast. Massey's works were the subject of a feature article and the cover of the March 2006 issue of American Artist Magazine. Her work is also included in the Best of Pastel, 2005 by Northlight Books.
