Craggy mountains, undeveloped coastline, rare wildlife, abundant wildflowers, and charming Avalon have inspired more than forty artists from the Pasadena Art Gallery Association to tote their palettes and easels to Catalina Island throughout the past year. In partnership with the Catalina Island Conservancy, artists were transported into remote interiors, rarely seen by the casual visitor to capture their impressions en plein air. On October 9, the Pasadena Art Gallery Association will host exhibition receptions in their respective venues with a portion of the sales proceeds to benefit the educational and conservation programs of the Catalina Conservancy.
