J. Alfonso Colocho

J. Alfonso Colocho was born in San Salvador, El Salvador. He received his early art education from the San Salvador School of Fine Arts where he studied for three years under the instruction of the Spanish artist Valero Lecha. He came to California in 1977 and started commissioned mural work while furthering his artistic education at the Otis Art Institute and at Los Angeles Trade Technical College where he studied under Mario Rueda for five years. J. Alfonoso Colocho is an Artist Member of the California Art Club and his works have been exhibited in the Pasadena Museum of California Art, Pasadena Museum of History, the Bowers Museum, Fisher Gallery at the University of Southern California, and the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine University.
