Georgia native Greg Carter was exposed to art at an early age from his father, a life-long graphic designer, illustrator, and fine artist. Greg graduated with honors from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California in 19997. After a stint as a freelance illustrator, he concentrated on his fine art and developed a highly impressionistic style, exploring landscapes, cityscapes, and the figure through the bold application of richly layered paint. In paintings that skirt the edges of abstraction, sculptural forms and blurry images resolve as meditative figures and lyrical market and cafe scenes. He has been the subject of feature articles in SouthwestArt, Art World News, and U.S. Art Magazines and has exhibited at the Pasadena Museum of History (California).
